You can imagine how exciting the news was when Helmi Flick notified us that Stony was chosen for the cover kitty in the Sept. 2009 issue of the Cat Fancy Magazine featuring the Russian Blue.

What an awesome feeling it was. 

I remember getting into the cat fancy back in 2003 and once we started showing thinking how neat it would be to have one of your home bred cats on the cover of cat fancy.  Well here we are…speechless. 

I think they could not have chosen a better Russian blue to exhibit.  He was shown in 2 associations, CFA and TICA, earning Best Russian Blue of Year in TICA this 2008-2009 show season.  Stony was 18 th Best Cat and 8 th Best Shorthair in TICA.  He also is a Grand Champion and Regional Winner in CFA.  His pale coat and emerald green eye color is a hard thing to achieve together.  Stony is a great example of the breed.
